Kathryn Kimmel, Account Executive
What inspires you?
People inspire me most – whether it is someone’s raw talent, drive or perseverance to push forward and overcome obstacles.
Growing up playing sports has also been a huge source of inspiration in my life. At Johns Hopkins University, I was the captain of the women’s basketball team. Everything I learned on the court has translated into my professional life. Playing sports provided me with valuable lessons on discipline, hard work and leadership. It also taught me the importance of responding to success and more importantly adversity and failure as a team – whether it is a sports team or our team here at Harvey!
What is the one thing most people don’t know about you at work?
I come from a big family. I’m the youngest of four – my closest sibling in age is seven years older. I also have 10 nieces and nephews, with two more on the way.
What’s your favorite thing about Baltimore?
I like how the city of Baltimore has a small town feel. Baltimore has a great food scene – there are so many wonderful restaurants and bars here! I also love being in a city that is passionate about its sport teams. I am still a Giants/Yankees fan at heart, but I do love seeing Baltimore City streets lined in purple and orange!
